Studies of grazing impacts on biodiversity at Glen Finglas
The James Hutton Institute and partners have been conducting a grazing experiment at Glen Finglas since 2002. The varied impacts of sheep and cattle grazing on upland grassland biodiversity are being studied within a series of enclosures in which sheep and cattle numbers are carefully controlled. Plants, invertebrates, and birds are monitored regularly, and responses to the different grazing treatments are investigated.
