From the Bochastle car park, take the track near the entrance into Woodland Trust Estate. Follow the path until the small steps on the right. Follow the blue arrow waymarkers to the top of the hill and either descend the same way, or return via the western slope (towards the iron age fort).

From the Inversnaid hotel car park, follow the West Highland Way north (Loch Lomond is on your left). After approximately a mile, take the track on the right (signed woodland trail) and follow the loop walk through Pollochro woods. When the trail rejoins the West Highland Way, turn left to return back to the car park.

This gentle walk takes you up to a restored sheep fank (an excellent picnic spot!), through pasture and open hillsides along the Snaid burn. See historic ruins and evidence of farming from Rob Roy's time.

From the Lendrick Hill car park follow the green waymarker arrows to the east of the car park, passing through the woodland to the Woodland Trust estate office. After crossing the road (A821), turn right and after a short climb, follow the loop walk on the left. On completing the loop return the same way by crossing the road near to the office.

A steep walk through the Lendrick Hill oak woodland leading to Drippan farmstead, with superb views over Loch Venachar to Achray Forest and Ben Venue. It’s steep at the start but you’re rewarded with a great view at the top!
During the summer months this route also has six feely boxes positioned around the path with hidden natural objects than you can feel and guess what’s in the box

From the Lendrick Hill car park, follow the yellow waymarker arrows and cross the bridge and go through the gate into the woodland. Stay left as you climb the hill to Drippan farmstead. Return back to the car park by following the trail back down just after the Drippan ruins.

From the Lendrick Hill car park head west following the blue waymarker arrows along the path next to the main road (A821) then follow the boardwalk through the Mires. At the bottom of the hill, go through the kissing gate and cross the single track road in Brig o' Turk, follow the path along the river before returning via the village to the Visitor Gateway Centre and Lendrick Hill Car Park.
To extend your walk turn north after the kissing gate which will lead you towards Glen Finglas dam and Ruskin’s viewpoint overlooking the waterfalls on the River Turk.

Walk description
Passing through woodland and open grazing land called The Druim, this loop walk offers spectacular views towards Brig o’ Turk, Lendrick Hill, Achray Forest and Ben Venue. In summer the druim is alive with meadow pippits, marsh orchids & bog cotton swaying in the wind. It is also a great place to see birds of prey & to sit and enjoy the tranquility.
The track is liable to be muddy.

From the Lendrick Hill car park take the track to the east of the car park following the pink waymarker arrows, passing through the woodland to the Woodland Trust estate office. After crossing the road, turn right and after a short climb, take the track to the right which leads to the open grazing land called the Druim. Return back to the car park by crossing the road at the gate and then taking the path to the right.

From the Lendrick Hill car park follow the brown waymarker arrows along the track to the east of the car park, passing through the woodland to the Woodland Trust estate office. After crossing the road (A821), turn left and walk along the pavement until you can cross the main road. Passing through a couple of gates you climb up Lendrick Hill and then meet up with the other Lendrick Hill trails above Drippan farmstead.

Walk description
A short walk along a private road to the site where the famous portrait of Ruskin was painted by Millais in 1853. Continue along the road to the Brig o' Turk dam which offers spectacular views up Glen Finglas as well as an impressive waterfall after lots of rain.
To make this walk slightly longer combine it with the Brig o' Turk loop walk and park at the Lendrick Hill car park.

Details of route
From the Dam Road car park, take the private road along the river (left hand fork in the road). The Ruskin view point can be found leading from a track on the left before the bridge across the river.
This walk takes you to the top of a small hill where there is an iron age fort: Dunmore Fort. The visible remnants are a series of banks and ditches. The knoll also offers great views over Loch Venachar.

From the Bochastle car park follow The Great Trossachs Path past Samson's Stone. The iron age fort spur route is waymarked from the path. Return to the car park the same way.
